Nancy Grabe, MSW Tuesday, April 24th, 11:15 am -12:15 pm Dickerson Theater The world is a scary place these days. Our teens face issues we never had to. Anxiety, stress, depression, suicide just to mention a few. Teens can be sullen and difficult to get talking. They can seem unmotivated and unconcerned about the things we know as parent’s matter! How do we get them talking? How do we help when we know they are hurting or struggling and won’t tell us why? And how do we get them to take responsibility? Nancy Grabe, MSW will talk about the stages of parenting, getting teens talking and how to get them to be more responsible and ready for High School and life. There will be time for some questions and answers. Nancy Grabe, MSW is a counselor and therapist, an educational advocate, and a versatile speaker. Nancy has been on every side of educational struggles. She had learning disabilities, has worked as a school social worker, was a Parent Mentor and raised two sons, one with an IEP. In her private practice, Nancy is all about healing the broken hearted and helping people overcome emotional pain to live abundant lives. Nancy specializes in the areas of trauma, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. She loves works with parents to help them move into the mentoring stage of parenting young adults.
