Cartersville City Schools is partnering with West End Pharmacy to provide COVID-19 vaccinations for interested CCS staff members. Inoculations will be administe...red by pharmacy staff at Cartersville Elementary School from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 12, for those choosing the Johnson and Johnson vaccine and on Friday, March 19, for employees selecting the Moderna vaccination. This morning Superintendent Dr. Feuerbach, Mike Patel of West End Pharmacy, and CES Principal Melissa Bates formulated the plan for administering the shots at CES. Dr. Feuerbach said, We appreciate the support of West End Pharmacy and their eagerness to quickly make the vaccines available to our staff and to provide them with a choice.

One year ago we opened our doors for the first time. Goodness, what a year it has been! Serving our community has been such an honor. We’ve loved being the Downtown Doctor and the #downtowncartersville business community has welcomed us with open arms. We never expected to be navigating a global pandemic during our first year of business but no one really saw 2020 coming, did we? ... This year has been a series of hills and valleys, but we look back on the lessons we’ve learned and just feel so thankful. Thankful for our members, thankful for this community, and thankful to be moving forward with a bright future ahead of us. Thank you to each and everyone one of you for supporting us! We were so honored to receive the Golden Nail Award last night from @downtowncartersville. When we were first dreaming of @gadirectfamilycare, we envisioned a clinic that didn’t feel like your typical doctor’s office . Our spot in #downtowncartersville has been even more wonderful than we could have hoped! Preserving the historic character of the building was important to us and we tried to capture that when designing the space.... . . Being part of the downtown community has been such a blessing to us. We love when people we meet say, Oh, you’re the downtown doctor! . Thank you again to Lillie Read and the DDA for this award.
