Good morning. As more and more vaccines are being administered, please be aware that this provides the perfect opportunity for scamming. Please read below for ways to look out for vaccine scams.
We at the Gainesville Hall Co. Senior Life Center would like to thank Brenau University's Catering services for these thoughtful gift bags that we received. It is very heart warming to know that people throughout the community are keeping some of our most vulnerable in their thoughts this holiday season. We greatly appreciate all that you have done. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Thank you all so much for your generosity during these trying times. It’s means so much to our seniors to be remembered during the holiday season.

This pandemic has put a strain on a lot of us. There are some virtual events that can aid you and your family during this time. You’re Not Alone Helpful Community Resources for those Sheltering in Place November 12, 2020 at Noon- ... Gainesville-Hall County continues to be recognized nationally as a great place to live for senior adults. So it comes as no surprise that even in the face of COVID-19, organizations across the community continue to creatively provide resources to senior adults during this time of social distancing. Hear from our community experts in the trenches of making resources available to seniors. Learn about options for engagement, activity, transportation, physical well-being and more. Guest panelists include: Pamela Elfenbein, Ph.D., Director for the Center for Healthy Aging, UNG Phillippa Lewis-Moss, Community Service Center Director, City of Gainesville You may find more information on the panelists and how to watch here: https://www.unitedwayhallcounty.org/reac/senioradultpanels/
The Senior Life Center is closed today due to the weather but we hope everyone is staying safe!
The Senior Life Center has finally reopened! We had a great first week and the seniors were very happy to see one another. We took lots of safety precautions (temperature checks, routine sanitizing, and mandatory masks) and even set the tables up so that they could chat at a safe distance. We were even able to have Music Hour via Zoom which everyone enjoyed. We hope that we can continue to stay open while keeping our seniors safe. Take a look at our first week open.
