To all Georgia Prostate Cancer Coalition members and friends As members or friends of Georgia Prostate Cancer Coalition, I am sure you remember Frank Catroneo and the leadership he provided to GPCC for many years. We affectionately referred to him as The Rainmaker. He simply made things happen. Frank never gave up. He was a tireless worker helping reach hundreds of thousands of men and their families about the need to get men screened. He then set up screening events i...n Atlanta and the 4 statewide chapters he started. He even arranged free screenings for Georgia’s policemen and firefighters. You may or may not have known that Frank was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer late last year. He had what we thought was successful surgery early this year. Unfortunately, his cancer returned and he passed away this past Friday. Services will be at the Roswell Funeral Home this Wednesday afternoon at 2:00. I spoke with the Funeral home today. Unfortunately, due to Covid19, the city of Roswell and the funeral home’s guidelines limit the number of visitors to 50 in total which will be primarily taken up by family. The funeral home suggested making your comments on their website. Joan, Frank’s wife, said that the service will be live streamed.
