When it comes to preparing for warmer months, taking care of certain tasks helps you avoid aggravations like the air conditioner sputtering out on the hottest day of the summer. Regular maintenance of your air conditioning system can help keep it running cool, and keep Murphy’s Law at bay.

Adding a new backsplash will instantly refresh the look of your kitchen. But you may think that tackling a project like this means saving up a small fortune first. Winter can leave your yard and garden in need of a little (or a lot of) TLC. Before you jump in and start working, however, you should first check your yard and garden tools to make sure they are in good working order. Clean, sharp garden tools will not only make your job easier, but your tools will last longer. Keeping your pruners and loppers clean and sharp is also must to keep your plants healthy. Spring is also the time to perform general maintenance on your lawn mower. If you have an electric mower, maintenance can be as simple as cleaning and sharpening your lawn mower blade, and cleaning the underside of the mower deck. If you have a gas lawnmower, you’ll want to also change the oil, air filter, and spark plug. Not that handy? Consider a professional tune-up to keep your lawn mower working at its best.

Does your home need a little love and attention? A well-kept home creates a welcoming, relaxing, well-functioning environment, which is so important to our health and well-being, especially in these times. And maintaining a home pays off in tangible (it adds to a home's long-term value) and intangible ways (you love being in your home).

Michaelangelo's was perfect! We got our original design from them and finally had it installed. Our yard is a challenge since it is mostly shade. Michael expertly directed us on where the sod would actually grow without taking out any of our beloved trees. Mario and his crew were right on time both days. The first day, they were meticulous in the way they prepared our yard for its new design. The second day, they installed the sod first, then the plants and finally the mulch.... In a few instances, we were consulted about placement and came to decisions together. Then they watered the sod and every single plant. They blew everything including our front and back decks so it looked amazing. We have a parking spot which always flooded after a rain. Michael said to just lower the surrounding landscaping. Since it is now covered with plantings and mulch, the water drains beautifully and it doesn't even look like there was ever a problem. We highly recommend Michaelangelo's for their creative design work, their excellent implementation of the perfect plan for our home and their professionalism throughout! See more

Has it been a year or more since you’ve given your heating and air conditioning (HVAC) system some attention? If so, now is the time for you to give it a tune-up. Seasonal maintenance, ideally twice per year, in fall and again in spring, can help keep your system ready for the extra heavy use you will expect from it.
