These are Mylar balloons picked up by one shed hunter this spring, well over 100 balloons. Please don’t do balloon releases, don’t teach your kids to let balloo...ns go. The balloons don’t make it to heaven, they end up in farmers fields and the woods. They don’t break down and you wouldn’t believe how many there are all over the countryside. I’ve had days where I have picked up more than 10 balloons. This is my public service announcement for the year! Don’t buy balloons if you intend to let them go! Put them in the trash when you are done with them! See more

And this my friends, is why you don’t kill black snakes!! Time for them to come out of sleep time to patrol your yards. That's a copperhead in its coils. I beli...eve this is a black kingsnake. Black snakes do keep other vermin in check. Leave em be. They want nothing to do with you. If you see them the are hunting. See more

UPDATE JUNE 5: THANKS TO ALOT OF WONDERFUL PEOPLE HELPING, DIESEL IS HOME SAFE AND SOUND!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to every one who helped us get ...him back! UPDATE JUNE 4: STILL MISSING!! We had several possible sightings near Target and home depot in Flowery Branch on Tuesday evening. We searched most of the day yesterday but no luck. Please help! This is Diesel. My son was driving on I-985 this afternoon and about 5:00 pm he hit a deer just past exit 14, near Gainesville, GA, heading north. Diesel escaped and ran across the southbound lanes. He made it safely to the other side and kept running. We are not from the area, so he is completely lost. Diesel is a 1 year old male lab mix. He weighs about 45 lbs. Diesel is friendly, but skittish around new people. His favorite thing to do is fetch a tennis ball. He is my son's dog and we are heartbroken! If you should see him, please call or text 229-726-1859

This fawn was on our porch in Havre de Grace and I thought it’s mom had died... called animal control and they said what this article says:::wish I’d known befo...re I made baby venison steaks...( sorry, kidding)... Dear Friends, we just received our first phone call regarding newborn fawns, therefore it is the time of the year to post this. Deer deliver their newborns in the strangest of places! Residents will find them and be concerned about a newborn deer on their lawn, in their garden, under the azaleas, etc. Most call because they think the fawn is in peril and Mom is nowhere to be found. Well, Mom is actually off feeding and helping to keep predators away. Those who call ask what they should do for the fawn ... Leave it alone, do not touch, move or attempt to feed it. Here's the scoop. Deer are NOT like horses. They do not have their legs under them immediately and need time to rest after birth. Horses get up and go that's the sign of a healthy horse. A healthy fawn will curl up, nap most of the day and move their heads. They have no scent and predators cannot find them unless humans interfere. Mom leaves during the day for 2 primary reasons: to feed, and to keep her scent a distance from the fawn. Mom will come back (unless something tragic happens to her), but don't expect her until dusk and certainly don't expect her if humans are hovering around. If you are fortunate enough to have the gift of a fawn please enjoy the experience, respect Mother Nature and let the Mom do what comes naturally. She will move the fawn daily so you may see it in different locations. Please share, thank you.

Now days so many people want to start homestead or have mini farm and purchase our goats and chickens. Before you do that! PLEASE do your research on BASIC CARE for goats and chickens. I've seen people at Tractor Supply buying one day old chicks and bag of WHOLE corn to feed them! Here comes the shocker: There are people who think goats (and cows) start producing milk at certain age. The ONLY WAY to get milk from a goat (or a cow) is to get a female goat pregnant so she can ...have babies (called kids) first. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!! #gaskyfarm
