Now is a great time during national Distracted Driving Awareness Month to review Georgia's cell phone laws. It is illegal to hold a cell phone and talk while driving. And rightfully so: 70% of the 1,549 fatal accidents on Georgia roads in 2017 were caused by unsafe driving behaviors like talking or texting on a mobile phone.
