GAWPS is incredibly excited to introduce our dynamic new Board members. Introducing Lt. Carmelita Preston from Albany Police Department bringing 25 years of dedicated service and experience. She has worked and supervised a variety of assignments to include criminal and drug investigations, office of professional standards, criminal intelligence, and uniform patrol division as watch commander. Capt. Jamie Leavell is from Rockdale County Fire Rescue with 18 years of experienc...e in fire service. She is a certified firefighter, instructor, driver, and EMT that leads fire training for front line personnel and recruits. She is a servant leader and motivator! Captain Leavell can often be found with her firehouse dog, Katey. She has also provided fire services for the City of Roswell and Dekalb County Fire Rescue. Let’s give them a warm welcome!

I want to take a minute and give a shout out to my fellow Board members in honor of International Women’s Day, 2021- Courtney, Janis, Eve, Crystal, Amanda, Ninetta, Cheri, Nicole - thank you! These ladies pack one heck of an empowering punch- constantly supporting, encouraging, trailblazing, and shattering glass ceilings.
