Every word in this article hits the nail right on the head. Kids who have a lot of potential are shot down and pushed to the back of the line all time and it ha...ppens in every sport. Coaches/people are so focused on what your last name is that they lose sight of the long distance goals, to help an individual become the best person they can be. I know first hand how much it hurts a player or how emotionally scarred it can leave a kid to have a coach who doesn't look out for your best interest. Just the ones he/she likes. In the real world it's a little different. No production = no job. All The "who you know" or "my mom and dad are" go out the window. Great article See more
