Assalamu Alaikum, Ramadhan Mubarak to all! Alhamdulillah the moon for Ramadhan has been sighted oversees, marking tonight as the first taraweeh and tomorrow as the first day of Ramadhan. By the Grace of Allah, we will be having Taraweeh prayer with Khatm-ul-Quran this year. InshaAllah, Isha Salah will be at 9:45 PM tonight, immediately followed by Taraweeh prayer with Khatmul-Quran. Due to current conditions and health guidelines, things will be a little different this time i...n Taraweeh: - Marking tape has been placed on the carpet in both halls to help guide attendees to socially distanced spots. - Currently, space for brothers will be in the main floor prayer hall, and space for sisters will be in the basement prayer hall. If needed later on, space will be adjusted according to capacity. - *Mask and prayer mat required for all attendees.* - Young children will not be allowed, to help with crowd control and help ensure the health and safety of all. Few rules to keep in mind: (1) No little children below the age of 13 allowed (2) Face mask/covering *required*... (3) Personal prayer mat *required* (4) Maintain social distancing; Blue markers have been placed on the carpet* to indicate social distance. Attendees are requested to maintain distance accordingly. (5) Anyone experiencing any symptom(s) are requested to please pray at home to avoid risk * Please note that prayer space is limited to the carpeted area, as the tile area in front of the carpet is ahead of the Imam.

Assalamu Alaikum, With the Grace of Allah SWT, Gwinnett county has granted Georgia Islamic Institute the final permit to start construction on the second cemetery, as the first cemetery is approaching full capacity within a year or so. The new cemetery has the capacity for over 7000 grave sites and will serve Atlanta NE communities for over next hundred years. InshaAllah. Construction involves major developments, including grading, paved parking, over 800 feet of wrought iro...n decorative fence with brick pillars and planting hundreds of plants and trees among other work. Cost for this construction is estimated to be around $286,000 and construction should start by next week, InshaAllah. Allah SWT has always helped us with our projects and InshaAllah Allah will again make it easy for us. Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh, Georgia Islamic Institute has announced that starting from Zuhr Salaat of Wednesday, May 27, 2020, the Masjid will be open for the 5 times daily Salaat for brothers only, with implementation of restrictions from the Health department. Brothers who attend must perform Wudhu and Sunnah prayers at home and come with a face mask and prayer mat.... The elderly and those with any health complications are requested to please remain home and perform prayers within their houses Sisters and children under 15 years old will not be allowed to attend *for the time being*. We are currently opening very restrictedly in phases. Facilities for sisters and children will be open in a future phase InShaAllah, and announcement will be made when they are open.
