Weather Notice from Dooly County EMA for 4/8/21 - 4/10/21 Dooly County will be facing several rounds of storms moving through our area. We are at a marginal ris...k for severe weather. This includes the chance of heavy rain at times, damaging winds of 60mph or higher, hail potential and a possible isolated tornado can not be ruled out. Marginal risk level puts us at a 20% chance for severe weather. Our tornado risk is at about 2-5 %. This weather pattern is pretty much the same today, Friday and Saturday. At this time the exact timing is not predicted, the most likely window for occurrence will be afternoon and evening hours each day. Stay alert and stay safe. See more

The severe weather potential is at a margina...l risk level on a 1-5 scale, or a 20% chance of severe weather. The highest risk would be possible high winds of 60 plus mph. Heavy rainfall, possible hail, and a possibility of a tornado can not be ruled out. Rainfall for our area is only predicted to be around a quarter of an inch, more may occur in some isolated areas. The primary threats will be strong to damaging winds and heavy rain. However a brief tornado or storm with hail up to the size of a quarter will also be possible. Weather Notice from Dooly EMA The next weather system will begin moving in our area tonight around midnight. We are in an area of slight risk, which means there... is a chance for strong damaging winds, heavy rainfall and the slight possibility of a tornado. Expect 2 to 2.5 inches of rain throughout this event. The system should approach our area around midnight with heavy rain during the early morning hours of 2:00-4:00 am. Conditions should lighten around 8:00-9:00am tomorrow. The greater threat for severe weather should occur in the afternoon and early evening hours beginning around 1:00-2:00 pm tomorrow afternoon. This timing is not exact and can change as the system moves through. Stay alert and stay safe. See more
