Today is National Play Outside Day! No matter how busy your day might be, take a few moments to channel your inner child & play outside. There are countless benefits to playing outside for both mental and physical health. Even if it's 5 minutes, give yourself permission to play!

Today is National Stress Awareness Day. It is so important for our overall mental and physical health to be aware of our stressors and learn healthy ways of coping and reducing stress. Some methods for reducing stress include meditation, exercise, reading, therapy, spending time outside, spending time with loved ones, or simply practicing deep breathing throughout the day. No matter what stress you're under, you're not alone. Take some time today to unwind and decompress. To learn more about stress management skills, please visit https://isma.org.uk/

It's October 6th, National Coaches Day, so grab your thermos of hot coffee for this week's Coffee Connections. Today we are brewing a conversation with Jennifer Hossler the Project Manager for Project Intersect at The Georgia Center for Child Advocacy. Their work is so important as they champions the needs of sexually and severely physically abused children through prevention, intervention, therapy and collaboration. Coffee Connections is Insights with Innovators! The series is made up of short conversations with nonprofit innovators in the Atlanta area to share their missions, chat about their current successes and challenges, and close with them recommending a future guest! Our goal is to promote these organizations and help open up the dialogue on many subjects that each share.
