"The Six Weeks Intensive Self Defense Course" ... This intensive self-defense course will start on January 30, 2021(Saturday ) from 1PM to 2:30 PM to March 6, 2021, at our Acworth Dojo. It's six consecutive Saturdays of training and learning. Below are some of the contents of our upcoming Self Defense Course. -Verbal skills to diffuse potentially violent encounters. -Pre-assault indicators. (Situational Awareness) -Legal, moral, and ethical aspects of self-defense. -Domestic and intimate partner violence prevention -Mental Preparation (Survival Mindset, Understanding stress, and its effects) -Improvised Weapons (Locations and uses) Our system of prevention, avoidance, and/or response takes a realistic approach in preparing to face violence in modern society. While easy-to-sell, feel-good classes may appeal to many, these systems fail conclusively in the real-world. The inevitable failure of the non-realistic, idealistic training system puts lives and emotional well-being in danger. Our course is the product of nearly three decades of research on the subject of violence stemming from countless interviews of actual survivor-victims of violence from across the country. This intensive self-defense course is open to men, women, and kids, ages 12 and above. This course will start on January 30, 2021, from 1PM to 2:30 PM, at Georgia Martial Arts & Self Defense, 3485 Acworth Due West Rd #100, Acworth, GA 30101. It will be $200 per person and the second family member gets 10% off.
