Ms. Shirley has been at Girls Inc. greeting parents and girls for 7 years! She loves watching the girls come into the center and helping them get settled. Introducing Storrie! Our Baker Center Girl of the Month! Storrie has many favorite things she loves including the color pink, swimming with her Dad and eating hot dogs. The Girls Inc. after school program is exciting to Storrie because she dances with her friends in Ms. Errykka's class when they sing the I love Myself song Let’s all sing with Storrie. I love myself I believe in myself I'm proud of myself ... I'm a genius Congrats Storrie! Keep dancing, singing, and believing in yourself and your power to be Strong, Smart, and Bold!
Our Eureka! girls meet monthly to explore STEM topics and this month they teamed up with KEEP COLUMBUS BEAUTIFUL to do their part in preserving our environment by cleaning up the Hooch! The Eureka! program is a STEM based program for 8th to 12th grade girls who form a sisterhood bond with like minded supportive peers. They work to develop their Math & Science knowledge through guided partnerships, fun activities, and unique experiences. Happy Team Member Tuesday! Meet Coach Derrick. Derrick has been a part of Girls Inc. for as long as he can remember. During high school, his Mom worked at Girls Inc. which made Derrick an automatic member of the Girls Inc. family. He helped and supported wherever he could in his youth and now.. the legacy continues.. his daughter is a Girls Inc. girl! As a member of our coaching team for the past two years, he continues to support our girls physical health by facilitating various physical education activities and organized sports. His favorite sport is cup stacking and he loves helping girls learn and compete in this fun sport. Thanks Coach Derrick for your positive attitude, willingness to be a team player and doing everything necessary to inspire our girls to be Strong, Smart and Bold!
