While most home shoppers are super excited and ready to look at homes before going to the lender, this is actually backwards. A pre-approval helps you to establish a price rage and will give you an idea of how much house you can afford. ...You do not want to fall in love with a home only to find you are unable to afford it. Another benefit of getting pre-approved early on is that it allows you to identify and resolve any potential credit issues. In the Atlanta real estate market, inventory tends to move very fast.
