Good morning Glynn County. We would like to take a moment to give thanks and appreciation to our partner agencies that have assisted our local first responders during the Port fire of this week. To our immediate neighbors McIntosh County EMA and the City of Darien Fire Department for their responders, vehicles and use of other essential equipment. Thank you. Camden County EMA and Camden County Fire Rescue for their responders and vehicles during the event. Jekyll Island Fire... & EMS for their responders and support. Chatham Emergency Management Agency and Savannah Fire Department for their response and assistance with their industrial firefighting equipment that supplied water from the river. Bloomingdale Fire Dept, Effingham County Fire Rescue, Brantley County Emergency Management Agency and @Brantley County fire and rescue, Hortense Volunteer Fire Department, Nahunta Fire and Rescue, Waynesville Fire and Rescue Department, and Georgia-Pacific for their timely and amazing response. All of the men and woman came together and formed one team to help preserve life and protect property. Please take a moment to follow their pages, show some love and thank them the next time you see any of these responders. Without their help, we would of not been able to have the effective and immediate response as we did. We look forward to working with all of these agencies and more in the future. See more

We wanted to thank all of the agencies that responded last night to the Fire. We are currently still in operational mode so please be cautious when traveling around the south end of the City of Brunswick. We have over 100 responding Firefighters and police personal in a coordinated effort last night. We were successful in containing the fire and protecting the neighboring community. There is a lot of work to be done, but it’s important to take the time to say thank you to everyone that came together to become one team in protecting our community.

I want to thank the citizens of Glynn County for electing me to my third term as your Sheriff. I am honored and humbled to serve as your Sheriff. I will continu...e to serve you to the best of my ability, making Glynn County a great place to live, work, raise a family and for visitors to visit. I must thank the men and women of the Glynn County Sheriff's Office for their duty to serve. We stand as a Law Enforcement Family. This could not have been possible without the support of Marie and my family and friends. Thank you, Chief Judge Stephen Scarlett, for taking time to swear me in today. Lastly, it was an honor to stand with State Court Brenda Boone-Cove and Superior Court Clerk Ron Adams as they took their oath. Humbled and honored.... Sheriff E. Neal Jump
