GMC Augusta Student Debate Team, reigning 2010-2013 state champs, tied 1st place with Milledgeville, Friday, after numerous shut-outs throughout the competition! GMC Augusta and GMC Milledgeville will go forward to the national two-year college Ethics Bowl championship in Chicago Heights, Illinois, March 13th-15th.

The Georgia Military College (Augusta) and Georgia Regents University Debate teams enjoyed a wonderful 2013 Christmas Party, hosted by GRU team captain Ashley Cordell (former GMC team captain) and fiancée Drew - fun, camaraderie, and new friendships! Thank you, Ashley and Drew, for being such generous hosts!

The 1st Annual Junior College Ethics Bowl (JCEB) National Championship was held April 13, 2013, at GMC Milledgeville! The GMC Augusta "A-Team" finished in an admirable 3rd place, while Harper College, Illinois, and New Mexico Military Institute finished in 1st and 2nd place respectively. Congratulations to the winners and to all participants and volunteers who made this 2013 inaugural event such a success!

Elbert County High School, 2013 CSRA High School Ethics Bowl Champions, qualified and participated in the 1st Annual National High School Ethics Bowl Championship, April 22-23, 2013, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The team finished with 2 wins and 2 losses and is looking forward to next year's competition!

DePauw University wins the 17th Annual Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl, held February 28, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas. Professor James Brady (GMC Augusta) and Professor Robert Sherwood (GMC Milledgeville) were invited Judges and Moderators. Professor Brady, Chair of the Junior College Ethics Bowl (JCEB) Steering Committee, was also an invited guest speaker.

Congratulations to the Georgia Military College Augusta 2012-2013 Student Debate Team for their win, this past Friday, at the Fall 2012 GMC Intramural Ethics Bowl! The GMC Augusta Team won every match throughout the day, earning their place in the final championship match against the very capable and well-prepared GMC Milledgeville Team. This victory secures GMC Augusta’s privilege to once again represent Georgia Military College at the APPE Southeast Regional Ethics Bowl in Saint Petersburg, Florida, for the third straight year in a row. The Southeast Regional Bowl will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012, just a few short weeks away. Please congratulate these terrific students and wish them well in their preparations for what is sure to be an exciting and challenging competition!
