Although this picture just looks like a piece of land, it really is so much more. In 2014, I had the opportunity to go on a global(x) college journey to serve alongside our partner, Champions United, in Uganda. On the last day, our leaders took us to this field in Jinga. As we stared over the scenery, they explained that they had been invited to be a part of a new a Christ-centered primary and secondary school there in Jinga called Amazima. We were challenged to pray over the... land and for all the things God would do through this school, and that our leaders would know whether this was the right opportunity for them. Later, those same leaders became global(x) long-term missionaries and headed back to Uganda to be part of what God was doing at Amazima. It was a simple challenge to pray over what God would do in the years to come, but as a college student and learning how to invite God into every aspect of my life, it impacted me greatly. Six years later, I still get emotional with every update I hear about the school and what it has become. #goglobalx See more

We met Obie on a global(x) journey to provide relief after their village was completely destroyed by an earthquake. The joy he possessed despite losing everything in the earthquake completely changed my perspective on how I see my own life. We were supposed to be there to help Obie and he turned around and ministered to all of us with his heart and that great big smile. #goglobalx
