From the moment I first contacted Patty Ventola at Golden Isles Executive Transportation, I felt that this was going to be a full service and excellent experience. I was having trouble finding a tour bus for my family of 8 that would provide two car seats for my 3 and 6 -year-old grandchildren. Patty responded quickly to my numerous emails, assu...red me that the car seats would be on board the bus, and sent me photos of the Mercedez-Benz Sprinter that they would be using for our tour. My plan was to have a day tour of Jekyll Island from our hotel at Cloister Beach Club at Sea Island. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center and Driftwood Beach were two spots my family wanted to include in the tour, but we were not familiar with the area at all. Patty's husband, Mike, was eager to show us around the island, give us some history, and took the time to research the tide conditions and restaurant availability. He made sure we had lunch at a restaurant that included gluten free options for two of us in our family. He checked the tide conditions so that we would be able to enjoy Driftwood Beach at low tide at the end of our tour. He drove the beautifully appointed Sprinter as close to the museum and park entrances as possible to let us off and pick us up. Mike communicated with me before our tour date so that we could coordinate start time and pickup location. He arrived early on our tour date and was dressed professionally and beautifully. He was caring and made sure that everyone in my family was enjoying the tour which included 4 generations ages 3 to 90. Mike has a passion for the history and stories of the Sea Island and Jekyll Island areas, and we learned a lot from him. He was always upbeat and personable. Because of Mike and Patty, we are looking forward to our return to the area for another tour. Patty gave our grandchildren two precious gifts of hand made angel ornaments. She had crafted the ornaments from shells she had found on the beaches. We really felt that we had made friends for life in Patty and Mike. See more
