Maintenance is an important part of any garden. When I consult with homeowners and contractors, I suggest some options in seasonal grass cutting that makes a lawn area look different during different times of year. Here we leave some grass and wildflowers to grow tall in the spring. Cutting perimeters is key to allowing the grass areas to look kept during this time. The wildflowers are pretty and the fescue goes to seed filling the gaps in the lawn and saving alot of money! Come summer, we will cut all the grass down. Combined with the chopping of oak leaves in the fall and allowing the grass to grow tall allows for a wonderful side effect of growing and harvesting these WONDERFUL Chantrel mushrooms with a wet spring as temperatures rise!
