The theme of the day is, ...A Day On, Not a Day Off to encourage individuals to dedicate the day to community service. On this day of national community service, we honor Dr. King’s legacy of compassion, justice and equality for all. The Fort Gordon SAMA had the opportunity to help out at the Equine Rescue of Aiken. Painting, organizing and cleaning storage rooms. Lunch was served by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). In addition to rescuing and rehoming horses, donkeys mules The Rescue provides many programs working with veterans, women affected by trauma and at risk youth.... You Lead from the Front
