Wild Earth August 17th, 2020. Today we have something very special for you all today :) The Great Migration of the Maasai Mara in Kenya. The wildebeest, also called the gnu, is an antelope in the genus Connochaetes. It belongs to the family Bovidae, which includes antelopes, cattle, goats, sheep, and other even-toed horned ungulates. Connochaetes includes two species, both native to Africa: the black wildebeest or white-tailed gnu, and the blue wildebeest or brindled gnu.

After a reservoir collapsed at a powerplant in the Arctic circle on Friday, a clean-up operation and a criminal investigation have been launched to unveil the circumstances over what could become the second-worst environmental disaster in Russia’s history.
