Grieving is a lifelong process. Over time you can forget your loved one is not here anymore. Read this interesting story on how an individual accidentally forgot his dad passed away.

When you talk with a Veteran who lost a friend in war, the words can be hard to come by. Memorial Day for many is when those vivid memories can flood back like they happened just yesterday. Grisson - Clark Funeral Home salutes and remembers the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who died for love of country so that we might live free.

When someone you love dies, the overwhelming sense of loss that occurs is known as grief. While grief is normal, no one should have to go through it alone. Surround yourself with love and be patient with your thoughts.

Mother’s Day is the special time of year when you get to celebrate your first best friend and the person you always turn to when you need advice. Mother’s Day is also a great time to show your love for all the other wonderful women in your life.

Gail Rubin presents "Kicking the Bucket List: Downsizing and Organizing Things to Do Before You Die" in association with Keith E. Charles, with Legend CFS. Do you plan to live forever? Do you ever plan to move? Depending on where you’re going, you can’t take it with you.... This talk focuses on practical ways to downsize excess goods without being overwhelmed by the job, what you need to know to organize your information for your executor, and how to plan for end-of-life issues. Less than 30% of adults do any end-of-life planning, leaving 70% or more of our loved ones scrambling to collect information and make expensive decisions under duress of grief. It doesn't have to be that way. This talk includes a discussion of the differences between pre-need funeral planning insurance, burial insurance, and life insurance policies. Gail Rubin, CT, The Doyenne of Death, is author of the award-winning books A Good Goodbye: Funeral Planning for Those Who Don’t Plan to Die, Kicking the Bucket List: 100 Downsizing and Organizing Things to Do Before You Die, and Hail and Farewell: Cremation Ceremonies, Templates, and Tips. She is also the coordinator of the award-winning Before I Die New Mexico Festival. A doyenne is a woman who’s considered senior in a group who knows a lot about a particular subject. Gail is a Certified Thanatologist (a death educator) and speaker who uses humor and films to get end-of-life conversations started. Her 2015 TEDx talk (https://youtu.be/r9qR4ZiGX2Y) focuses on the importance of starting end-of-life conversations before there’s a death in the family. Albuquerque Business First named her one of their Women of Influence in 2019. She’s a member of the Association for Death Education and Counseling, the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association, Toastmasters International and the National Speakers Association. Her motto is: Talking about sex won’t make you pregnant. Talking about funerals won’t make you dead.
