The Combat Application Tourniquet’ was initially fielded by USSOCOM in 2004 then fast followed by conventional forces in 2005. In the early years of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) and prior to the implementation of modern prefabricated tourniquets, the death rate from exsanguination was 23.3 deaths annually. After full implementation, this number was reduced to 3.5 deaths per year, an 85% decrease in mortality (narescue.com). Concealed Carry Trauma Care Basics - Sign up now! Have you ever wondered how you will react in a critical encounter? Have you ever really had an adrenaline rush and been able to keep your thoughts and your reactions clear and well executed? Would you like more confidence in yourself and your skills? Not only your skills in self defense, but also your skills in life to handle stress and conflict? Once we have put you through these reality based, adrenaline pumping, mistake provoking scenarios, and you have survived, you will walk straighter, stand taller, and definitely look at the world differently. Come spend the day with us. Trust us; we will test you.

Here's a recent post from Kelly McCann .... Good stuff! So one of the most often asked questions from new students is, "What's it take to be a fighter?" It's an easy question with a hard answer. Truth is, heart and head are far more important than hands and feet. Is your natural inclination when you're hit (cause you're GONNA get hit) to turn your back? To hug and hold? To turtle up? Or is it to bite down and hit back? Get even? Step that bad bastard off of you? Fighting is a...bout being inured to pain and punishment. It's about enduring. It's about making the other guy pay a higher price than he's willing to pay. It's about making him fear. It's about hurting. Importantly it's about the desire to hurt. These are simple truths about fighting. People don't like them. They're uncomfortable with them. In fights either one person or the other dominates. There is a winner and a loser. It isn't a "teachable moment" where "everyone's a winner!!!" No, they're not. One combatant wins, the other loses. (Parenthetically, in combat sports, I always say both combatants are winners because they subjected themselves to an intimate engagement in which either could be humiliated. In my esteem, if you fight, you have stones. More stones than the legions of witless fucks who talk about it but don't actually FIGHT.) Learning to fight is a relentless grind that involves pain, sacrifice and punishment. It's getting up when you don't want to. It's driving to the gym when it's 10 degrees outside. It's picking yourself up when you've been knocked down and getting more. It's about never losing the will to win. If it isn't for you that's okay. But don't PLAY at fighting. There isn't an easy way to get there. Pay for it. Own it. Or PLAY softball on the weekends and yell at the television when you watch MMA or boxing and call the losers bums. Just remember, those bums showed up. Kelly McCann aka Jim Grover See more

Who else turns the light on at night, just to be sure all is well? You never know, there could be something hiding in there. Another important point; When carrying concealed, the bathroom is one of those obstacles you need to think through. Don't get caught with your pants down and drop your firearm on the floor or even worse, leave it behind for someone else to find. Has this ever happened to you?
