GT Neuroscience Club 10.11.2020

Applications are now OPEN for Brainhack ATL! They are due Monday, November 4th at 11:59 PM. APPLY HERE: https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSch2f9Z3mMleOpxGq/viewform... Brainhack ATL is an Atlanta-based neuro hackathon focused on bringing together students, faculty, professionals, researchers, engineers, and scientists from a variety of fields and expertise to explore the multiple applications of neuroimaging tools from a cross-disciplinary perspective. Brainhack ATL 2019 is a collaborative effort between the neuroscience communities at GT, GSU, and Emory and is held at the GSU Center for Translational Research for Neuroimaging & Data Science (TReNDS). Brainhack ATL 2019 is a FREE 3-day hackathon that will take place from Wednesday, November 13th to Friday, November 15th. It consists of competitive project tracks that will have 60 participants working on computationally intensive projects to develop neuroimaging tools and apply machine learning to brain imaging data. The hackathon also allows participants to pitch their own project tracks for those who want to contribute to the hackathon in their own way, potentially through more non-computational projects (e.g., through our Pitch a Project track). Free food will be provided throughout the hackathon and prizes will be awarded to the winning project teams! Check out their website (brainhackatl.org) for more information, or email [email protected] if you have additional questions!

Hey yall! My name is Danielle Temples & I'm Neuro Club's secretary! I wanted to reach out about a new program at GT called TOM (Tikkun Olam Makers). Basically we will be holding a large scale makeathon (about 10 teams) in which each team will create a prototype of an assistive device for someone in need (person with a disability). By the end of the weekend, there will be 10 people with disabilities who will have a new prototype of an assistive device created for them! We are looking for students who are interested in being on our leadership team to get this off the ground, so let me know if you or someone you know is interested! ALL majors are accepted :) You can contact me at [email protected]
