Theta Xi Fraternity, Beta Alpha Chapter

Tonight we’re proud to officially introduce our Spring ‘21 Associate Member class! We’re excited about these young men and all they bring to our fraternity.

Today we celebrate our chapter’s 70th anniversary! The Georgia Tech colony of Theta Xi was formed in 1948, but on January 27, 1951, the Beta Alpha chapter was chartered. Since then, our chapter has won the Memorial Trophy (Theta Xi’s most prestigious national award) 4 times, the General Improvement Trophy 3 times, the NIC Chapter of Distinction Award (a national fraternal award), and the on-campus award for outstanding performance.... Most of all, we’re proud to carry on our purpose as a fraternity and to fulfill our objectives as a chapter through our 1000+ strong brotherhood year after year. Here’s to many years to come!

Brother David Bostater (GT ‘20) recently used his position at Delta to surprise an 11 year old aviation fan on his birthday after he was unable to visit the Delta Flight Museum, and it made the local news. Matthew, the young Delta fan, and his family drove from Miami to Atlanta just to go to the Delta Flight Museum for Matthew’s birthday. The museum, however, is closed due to the pandemic. Disappointed, the family sat in the airport’s atrium in order to let Matthew watch p...lanes and appreciate the airport while they were there. They met a Delta agent who reached out to David. He said, Being an aviation fan myself, I knew the impact this moment could have on Matthew’s passion for aviation and decided to give Matthew and his family a private tour of the Atlanta airport as a birthday treat. David gave Matthew an incredible behind-the-scenes tour of Delta and the Atlanta airport. Matthew was in aviation heaven, David wrote. The pandemic has affected a lot, but the opportunity to make Matthew’s birthday special was an honor and that I will always remember, David said. We’re proud of you, @davidbostater! Keep representing us, Georgia Tech, and the Lord very well!
