VERY HONORED TO BE APPOINTED LIEUTENANT COLONEL AIDE DE CAMP TO THE OFFICE OF GOVERNOR BRIAN KEMP TODAY I was shocked, humbled and deeply honored to be appointe...d Lieutenant Colonel Aide de Camp to the office of Governor Brian Kemp today. While mostly a ceremonial position, I am honored to serve as the Governor's ear to the ground here in Northwest Georgia. For the past thirty years, I have worked hard to build a political and economic foundation in Rome and Floyd County and throughout Georgia for this community and State to thrive. There is much more we have to do and I hope to build upon the Governor's appointment to further advance toward a better future for our community. I wish to thank so many friends who sponsored my appointment to this position. They include: Sen. Bill Cowsert from Athens; Sen. Chuck Hufstetler, Rep. Katie Dempsey, Rep. Eddie Lumsden, Rep. Micah Gravley, Rep. Trey Kelley, GOP State Chairman David Shafer and of course, Governor Brian Kemp. I am particularly grateful to a gentleman who has become a dear friend and who organized this honor, Justin Kelley.
