Please share with your fellow shooters and clubs: Due to me not doing my math right and a larger than expected sign up, we will not be able to get 4 stages in on the Tuesday night match. I sincerely apologize to each and everyone who signed up expecting 4 stages. If we did all 4 stages with 30 shooters we are looking at 6 hours at the range and we would be there till midnight. We, as GPSL, and the range staff cannot be there that late and I doubt you would want to be there ...either. I have worked out an arrangement with the Range to allow us to start shooting at 6pm instead of 7pm. If we have everyone's 100% help resetting between shooters and help resetting stages and can keep the Make Ready's down to a minimal amount of time, no reshoots, no recalibrations calls, we should be able to minimally get 2 stages plus the side match. If we get everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, to help reset and put up the steel at the end of the match, we hopefully get a 3rd stage in. I ask if you are a new shooter who signed up for the match and this would be your first time shooting with us, to please reconsider not making this your first match and to please come by and shoot with us at a regular USPSA match. I also ask if you cannot get to the range and be ready to shoot by 6pm you also withdraw. Again, I do apologize for not accounting for time properly. We just wanted to have a really fun match at the end of the year for everyone and say thank you for coming out to shoot with us week after week. If you have questions or concerns please email us at [email protected] or message us via FB or you can request your withdrawal via Practiscore if you cannot make the match. Thank you everyone for signing up for the match Tuesday. We are now officially on a wait list to get to shoot the match. With this great response, I need to ask everyone who was just planning on showing up to shoot and not signing up via Practiscore to please sign up on PS so we can wait list you. https://practiscore.com/gpsl-2020-outlaw-indoor-fa/register... For everyone who is signed up already. If you see that you will not be able to shoot the match, PLEASE request a withdrawal ASAP so we can open up slots for other shooters. Remember this is a CASH match. We will not be taking credit cards or checks for match fees. The main match is $25.00 CASH. The side match is $5.00 and you can shoot the side match a few times but it is $5.00 each time you want to shoot it. We will only count your fastest time for the side match.

Well, 2020 has been one wild ride! No one can argue that fact. GPSL wants to send 2020 off with a "BANG" (pun intended). SO for our very last match of the year we are doing an outlaw, all falling steel match. Yes, you heard that right. We are pulling out every steel target we have to let you shoot and test your skills. ... What makes this match even more fun and competitive, because none of us are competitive at all, is that there will be a cash payout to the top finishers. So, now onto the good stuff! There will be 4 to 6 main stages to the match, the number of stages will depend on the number of shooters and time at the end of the night. Harley will be setting up steel poppers in various configurations for each stage. Each stage will have a single shooting box to shoot from and 12 steel poppers to engage. Start position will be hands at surrender for pistol and PCC will be stock on belt with strong hand at surrender. We are going to have 3 divisions for shooters: PCC, Optic pistol (open and CO), Iron sight pistol(production and limited), all guns must be center fire only, so no rimfire weapons. You can ONLY sign up for one division. Pick what you are best at shooting. The buy in is $25.00 CASH. The top 3 finishers in each division will get a cash payout at the end of the night. The amount of the payout will depend on how many shooters sign up. I am opening up the match to at least 30 shooters. If we get that many shooters that is a $750 total prize pot, $250 per division. which works out to a potential 1st place in each division winning $125, 2nd $85.00 and 3rd $40.00. In addition to the stages in the main pistol bay we will also be doing a side match in the small bay. We will setup the Texas star for a speed shoot. This will be a cash payout for the top 3 fastest shooters to clear the star. Entry fee for the side match will be $5.00 a person per each time they want to shoot it. SO, if you want to run it 4 times that is $20 and only your fastest time will be used in deciding where you ranked in the speed shoot. (so, no you cannot take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place all by yourself) sign up is online or in person. We would prefer to have you sign up online. Payment will be in person at the match. Please bring exact cash for the main match and extra for the side match. https://practiscore.com/gpsl-2020-outlaw-indoor-fa/register

Less drama, more pew pew please! I don't know about you, but I am tired of all the news outlets and the political pundits, and the prognosticator's saying who won what. You know what I want to do? Shoot targets, shoot steel, make things go bang, that is what I want to do. I want to go someplace where I can forget about what is going on in the rest of the world and be with my fellow shooting friends and share some time together. IF you think the same, then please, make sure y...ou sign up for Tuesday's night match. Harley has 3 great stages for Tuesday all with an "Eagle's" eye for detail. If you can get that hint you will appreciate the stage names. Stage designs and WSB's are in the comments. Here is the link to sign up for the match: https://practiscore.com/gpsl-uspsa-11-10-20/register

Well this Tuesday's match is on ELECTION DAY. By the end of the match the results will be starting to come in and we will either have a re-election of Trump or we will have a new President. Regardless of your political views or how you voted, we all have one great common thing that brings us all together; WE LOVE TO SHOOT! WE LOVE TO COMPETE! So, the madness that is politics is over and the madness we call USPSA still goes on. With that said, we have another great set of st...ages for you to shoot. Stage designs and WSB's will be in the comments. Here is the link to sign up; https://practiscore.com/gpsl-uspsa-11-3-20/register

Just want to send out a "way to go!" to Sean Pham. He competed in the CO nationals and finished 80th out of 208 CO shooters and 8th in A class. For his first Nationals match that is damn impressive. Be sure to congratulate him next time you see him.

Gwinnett Practical Shooting League 17.07.2020

It is that time again! What time is again? It is time for another amazing fun, challenging and mind blowing match hosted by GPSL! That's what time it is! We have 3 stages designed to test your puzzle solving abilities and your shooting skills. The stage designs come from the mind of Harley and he does not disappoint. You will be pushed to find the best way to shoot these puzzles. WSB's and Stage diagrams are in the comments section. Sign-up is on Practiscore and the link is ...below: https://practiscore.com/gpsl-uspsa-10-20-20/register We are going to be making a change to how the 3rd stage is going to be shot starting on this weeks match. Moving forward we will stay in squads. Squad 2 will shoot stage 3 first and squad 1 will RO / score / reset the stage for squad 2. Upon squad 2's completion of the stage, then squad 2 will score and paste and reset for Squad 1. The reason for this is that for the last couple of weeks shooters have been leaving early after shooting the 3rd stage, and not informing us. We have had issues getting everything put back up and we have been getting out late. Harley does a great job of designing stages and getting everything built. We have a several of you who do an amazing job of helping setup. We really need more help resetting stages and getting all the equipment put up at the end of the night. I was informed last week that several shooters were approached to help break down stage 2 and also to help reset stages and they just looked at the person asking for assistance and did nothing. THIS is NOT what GPSL is about. We need to ALL do our part. USPSA for it's history has been based on a volunteers. PLEASE do your part and make each match and each stage something positive for everyone attending.

Still lots of spots open for the match Tuesday night. We got lots of responses to the survey about round count and we have listened and put up stages to reflect your vote. That being said, we kinda expected you all who voted to be signing up for the match, LOL. Just in case you "lost" the link to sign up, here it is again;... https://practiscore.com/gpsl-uspsa-10-13-20/register See more

Gwinnett Practical Shooting League 22.06.2020

You asked for a higher round count and you got your wish. Tuesday's match is 72 rounds of Pew Pew fun. In honor of the passing of the Great Eddie Van Halen, all the stage names are named after Van Halen songs. Harley has done it again, a 30 round stage 1, 16 round stage 2, and a 26 round stage 3. Stage designs and WSB's are in the comments.... If we can get the great stage resets like we did last week we might even be able to get a 4th stage done. So, if you want at least 72 rounds and maybe 88 rounds you will need to first sign up for the match, and second you will need to show up and help setup and reset after each and every shooter. Most importantly, we all need to assist in putting everything back up in the storage connex. Match sign up can be found on Practiscore and opens at 8am Saturday morning. https://practiscore.com/gpsl-uspsa-10-13-20/register
