For Black History, Ms Martin and the Paralegal Students visited the historical Martin Luther King Center in Atlanta, to commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King

Mr. Crewes and his students took a field trip to Crystal Blue in Little Five Points Atlanta Georgia. This was part of their traditional Chinese medicine course and an introduction to ayurvedic medicine. They had a great time and a hands-on experience learning about alternative medicine, energy work ( Qi Gong, Reiki )

Massage Therapists (professionals) - As you probably know, this is the year for renewing your Georgia Massage Therapy license. We wanted to make you aware of a couple of items; 1. CEUs, - These requirements have not changed. A list of CEUs offered at Gwinnett College (Sandy Springs and Lilburn locations) can be viewed at; https://www.gwinnettcollege.edu/continuing/massage-therapy/... 2. CEUs, Georgia requirements. There are two websites to visit to determine if your CEUs can be accepted by the Georgia Board. https://sos.ga.gov//continuing_education_courses_not_accep AND Page 11 of 26 - https://sos.ga.gov//50%20Reference%20-%20Massage%20Therapy 3. New licensure requirements - There is one major difference this year on the renewal application, and that is due to the Georgia law update from July 2019. All massage therapists will be required to submit proof of professional liability insurance. According to the new application, "Applicants must submit proof of liability insurance coverage for bodily injury, property damage, and professional liability in coverages and amounts of not less than $1 million per occurrence, with not less than a minimum annual aggregate of $3 million for all occurrences. A license will not be issued if this is not received."
