County Government has closed the Aquatic Center for the entire day due to power outages. All activities at parks and recreation facilities are cancelled for the day.

Winter Basketball for youth ages 7-18 are currently registering. Visit www.habershamrecreation.com for online registration. Must be 7 by September 1st, 2020 and not turn 19 by August 31st, 2002 to participate in this league. Boys and Girls all ages. ... Fee- $95 for all age groups. Includes uniform and 8 game season. Evaluations will take place first week of November. Practice will take place November thru December. Games will take place January- February.

That’s the sound of moisture being pulled out of the natatorium. Test day was Wednesday, training day Thursday, and as of this moment, we have a amazing climate controlled indoor pool facility! This project has been years in the making, and a much need improvement, but the wait has been worth it today.

Pool Closure: The Ruby C. Fulbright Aquatic Center will close the Natatorium doors August 24th to September 20th for the demolition and installation of the HVAC replacement unit. Only the pool area will be closed for construction and all other facilities will remain open from 6am to 7pm Monday thru Friday and 8am to 3pm on Saturdays. Background: The ventilation and dehumidification system being replaced is a project that was approved by the commission on March 16th. The construction of this custom unit being installed at Ruby C. Fulbright takes a considerable amount of time to build and unfortunately was unable to be completed during our Covid-19 closures. We look forward to re-opening our natatorium with a climate control system that will properly control space temperature, moisture and humidity levels.
