Habersham County Youth Baseball and Softball

The Diamond Memorial fields are still completely unplayable. The infields are muddy and have puddles of standing water, and the outfields are saturated with water. Practices on those fields are cancelled tonight (2/19). We've offered the outfields of the Aquatic Center fields to coaches for practice tonight or tomorrow. With the exception of one of the fields, those outfields are actually quite dry. Coaches who are currently scheduled for practice tonight or tomorrow will be given priority, and other coaches may request a practice on those fields on a first come, first served basis. Coaches will contact parents directly if they choose to reserve one of those outfields.

Good morning! I was able to check the fields early this morning. They are still very wet, but it's supposed to be a sunny day. We are going to give the fields a little more time to dry before making a call regarding practice today.

Practices are cancelled today, February 18th.

You can do this drill with a few stationary balls to teach footwork, spacing, and fielding the ball out front. Don't have a ladder? Good morning! Unfortunately, the fields are already in very poor condition, and we are expecting more rain throughout the day. Practices for tonight (2/15) and tomorrow (2/16) have been cancelled.
