With a view of Downtown Atlanta from their offices in Buckhead, this conference room also opens up onto a private roof terrace. The steel windows and doors here were made custom for the room by local craftsmen at Rod Gibson Ironworks. The conferencd table was designed and built by Hagan Architects and Vincent Annaloro of Precision Custom Metals.... #haganarchitects

We custom designed this sign for Three a few years back. We used LED backlighting and wood reclaimed from an old barn in Iowa. Hagan Architects tailors each design to the project’s whole environment, from the space itself, to surfaces, lighting or furniture. #haganarchitects

Super excited to be helping Bennett's Market with their new Beltline shop! They're going to be as fantastic for the Beltline as they have been for Grant Park! https://whatnowatlanta.com/bennetts-market-spx-alley/

This renovation in Kirkwood is starting to come together really nicely. We're adding an all-new upper level and completely reorganizing the main floor of a bungalow from about 1915. Can't wait to see it finished and the family moved back home.

While we're always thrilled when our friends and clients say nice things about us, sometimes we get a "thank you" that is extra, extra special. Today is one of those days. LT, you are most welcome.

Here's a little something else we've been working on.

Here's a little new design on the boards today.

So, here's a little dose of irony for the day. A year ago, we submitted one of our projects for the Decatur Design Awards. Obviously, the project was in Decatur and, also fairly obviously, we were pretty proud of our design for the renovation for the home and considered it potentially award worthy. Decatur, however, disagreed with our assessment of the awesomeness of the design. It happens. Design is a subjective thing. ... However, it turns out that our project made and impression on SOMEONE in the awards group, as you might recognize some similarities between our project and one of the photographs in this years Decatur Design Awards Call for Entries. We'd like to think of it as kind of a retroactive victory. Thanks. Decatur.

We recently got a chance to talk with Todd and Carol on the Atlanta Real Estate Forum podcast about Hagan Architects, our work, our origins and how that influences our approach to the projects we get to collaborate on. If you've got 17 minutes to kill (and maybe want to hear what Tim sounds like when he's nervous), have a listen.

Happy Anniversary to us!!! 12 years ago today, Hagan Architects opened our doors and started drawing - fueled primarily by coffee, and the hope to be able help people while getting to build a few nice things along the way. To mark this festive occasion, we've included a picture from each of our first 12 years (plus one from one of our very first design commissions). Some of these have been built, others didn't make it to completion (just yet). ... We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our clients, collaborators and friends who have taken the leap with us. We're looking forward to working with you in the next 12 years.
