+7mph bat speed in 10 mins with @charlieboycee using our swing Harness and measured with @blast_bsbl swing tracker. We did a 10 swing baseline after a good warmup, trained in the harness for aprox 10 mins, took a 10 swing post test and here are the numbers. +5mph avg increase and +7mph peak increase. If you want to increase your bat speed you must train the nervous pathways and muscles responsible for rotational power. Our hitting harness improves both! Super proud of both of these young men! On a cold rainy #reggaefriday my man on the right @masonkaplan16 got his first varsity start at #qb as a sophmore and his first varsity pass was 40 plus down the pipe for a touchdown! He also happens to be the longest tenured client of ours having started his training g at 8yrs old and overcome quite a bit of adversity along the way. Moments like this make my job the best in the world! We often get asked about flexibility. The long answer to a short question is that flexibility depends on the needs of the athlete. For the majority of athletes there is a force tension relationship that must be considered. Most sports require a speed component that is directly related to the amount of force produced through a range of motion. If the athlete cannot produce the requisite force then speed will be lost. If increased range of motion was the only factor to inc...rease speed, then yoga practitioners would be the fastest athletes in the world... Think of it like a guitar. Just because you loosen the strings all the way does not mean it will play correctly. It must have enough tension to be tuned and sound correct. Conversely some sports have a maximal range of motion requirement such as gymnastics, diving, and in this case ballet. The requirements of the sport are both function and aesthetic so in order to participate they must obtain maximal range of motion.
