After looking at the berries, we feel that it will be necessary to NOT open tomorrow, Wednesday 6/27. This is necessary to allow the berry yield to regenerate after Saturday and also to do some crop maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause anyone, but we feel it is necessary to maintain the viability of the crop. If you have any questions, feel free to call.

Opening day today. What a day. I am still stunned. The number of pickers was easily over 100. Everyone collectively pulled over 600 pounds of blueberries out of the orchard. It seems, based on the remarks when checking out, that everyone enjoyed themselves. I am certain that a lot of it had to do with Sharon’s wish that we have 75 Degrees and overcast, which is what we had. I especially enjoyed it when every child looked totally clueless when they started, but they com...pletely understood when checking out and proudly offered their pickings to the weigh out. Check our pictures. Now for the downside. So many berries were picked today that the prospects for tomorrow must be considered. There was serious depletion today. The Bubba bluebs are gone. Big and fat are depleted. We have berries, but they are smaller. Manage your expectations for tomorrow. If you want to leave with 1 or 2 pounds, and are willing to bring a ladder, we will be here. Otherwise, if you want to leave with 15 pounds from eye level picking, it would be best if you waited until next week. A lot will be rejuvenated by then. If still undecided, call. Hello! We are so excited to be opening tomorrow. Lets all hope the weather cooperates. It would be nice if it were 75 degrees and partly cloudy but let's not get our hopes up. Please prepare for hot, sunny weather. If you need it, we will have insect repellent available but you need to supply your own sun screen.
