Words can’t describe how much we need this man at this very moment and how badly we need his words to ring. The steps where he gave his famous #ihaveadream speech will now be empty while we inaugurate our next president - white supremacy must be faced and must be dealt with. On all levels of society. Fearlessly. Strongly. And now. #MLK #BLM #LOVEWINS #LOVECONQUERSHATE #OPENTOCHANGE

My mom always said if you have something to be depressed about, then you are not depressed. Oh, how I cling to those words these days. I posted something on Instagram - talking about how I feel (something about crying next to my childrens bed, because I am scared for their future and worried about being able to protect them. At the moment there is a pandemic going on - we have been self quarantining for 5 months. A race war is brewing and the people in power in America mi...ght be trying to break down democracy and detroy the world quite a few things to worry about - just saying). It resulted in multiple maybe you need to talk to someone about Postpartum depression While I was and am so grateful for the concern, it also made me feel like those people insinuated that my emotions weren’t for the normal crowd, but should be directed at a professional. That it was too much for common folks. Which then made me wonder if we are silencing women’s true feelings after birth, with the you must have postpartum label. I am so aware of postpartum depression and I know the numbers of women who get it. It’s many - 10-20%. But what about the women in between being okay and being depressed. What about me? Can I speak my truth of fear and worry, freely? Do we, as a society have space for the in-betweens? The people who are not happy but can not be labeled and treated. Or is it too hard, both to be the one speaking the truth about raw emotions and being the one making space for those emotions. Is it okay if I am an in-between? I started a blog cause I have stuff to say - link in bio!! #speakyourtruth #family #naturalparenting #danish #mytruth #2020

#achangeisgonnacome As we have closed our physical space of HHH, I have thought long and hard about how to continue to provide comfort, support and community to you. The Hygge Project is the answer! THP is our non profit organization, which provides free support groups for parents. Our groups are small pods of set parents who meet weekly, with an amazing facilitator - for 10 weeks total. We have already had more than 120 families through our groups! I am now focusing on ex...panding this platform to include content that will make us all grow into better people and parents. And to always know that we are not alone. Video series are coming, resource lists, professional advice etc. the options are endless (hit me up w your ideas!!) And exciting. Starting tmo, Monday, this account will be renamed to @therealhyggeproject and it will be awesome I sincerely hope you hang along for the ride! Peace See more
