Heaven's Point International

As me and my girl take a stroll down the beach, she stepped right over a sand dollar. I pointed it our to her, excitedly she reached down in the sand and picked... it up. I believe it was the first one she has ever found. The walk added many more sand dollars to our collection. I started telling her about the legend of the sand dollar and with such wisdom this baby says, "mama what I don't understand is how these delicate shells make it to shore unbroken in such rough waters?" This is something I have never thought of, the waves crash hard and all of the other rough shells hitting along side these tender beauties, how are they unharmed? Man, talking about eye-opening revelation. She has no idea what an impact her words made. The only answer I had for her is only God can protect and bring peace to something in troubled waters. No matter what's around us peace comes from within. In life we are going to have troubled water, we will experience those moments when you feel like you are drowning and everything around you is about to consume you. However, if we know the maker on the sea we will rest on the seashore unharmed. Just like the legend of the sand dollar, 5 doves on the inside to represent peace. Lord, I'm so thankful for this reminder that no matter what we are in the middle of, we can still have your peace and protection!! As I sit here with a gazillion thoughts, I notice this boat is sitting in rough waters. It is so windy and the water is really rough today, yet the boat sits still. The boat is not moved by the wind nor the rough water. I'm sure it may sway back and forth a bit but it stays in the same spot. I'm not a boater but I'm pretty sure there is an anchor dropped in the middle of all the messy waters. That anchor is what keeps that boat in place. On the way to school one morning some how the conversation came up about Sin. Keep in mind this conversation is between three people and only one of them is over the age of 9 and that would be me..lol! The question came up, "mama, why would God create a world with sin in it?" I began to explain in a mama's terms...Baby, God did not want sin in the world, it was man who chose to disobey and that allowed sin into the world. Just like when mama and daddy tells you not to do ...something you shouldn't and you choose to do it anyway. The silence filled the vehicle.."O, yea I see mama". So what about when Jesus was on the cross and there were two men beside him, why did one of those men not want to go to Heaven with Jesus? Again baby it comes back to choices..He chose not to believe Jesus was the Savior. Hmmm, so that means if he didn't go to Heaven then he went down there with the devil (as she points to the ground). Yes, baby as sad as it is some will not go to Heaven because of choices. Well mama I choose to go to Heaven and its kinda like every time we walk we are stepping on the devil...and when people build houses they are hammering on the devils head...and when we jump we are jumping on the devil...and when we dance with our friends we are dancing on the devils head..is that right mama!?! I proudly said if that's how you see it, yes everything we do we have the right to pounce on the devils head!! I reminded them of the scripture, If God be for us who can be against us. If we have Jesus in our hearts, we win no matter what!! Much Love, Wendy
