We are pleased to announce that Piedmont and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield reached an agreement on 04/17/18. Heindel ENT is back In Network effective immediately. We apologize for any inconvenience that this corporate negotiation has caused and look forward to continuing to take care of you and your families.

Piedmont Healthcare has been in discussions with Anthem Blue Cross on a new contract for several months. This applies to both the physician and hospital services Piedmont and their associated clinicians provide to Anthem Blue Cross commercial members-employer-sponsored and non-employer sponsored individual/family health plans. The existing contract between Piedmont Healthcare and Anthem Blue Cross expired March 31, 2018. Piedmont continues to try and work towards an agreeab...le resolution. Dr Heindel is a Piedmont affiliated doctor. Therefore, he is currently considered out of network with BCBS. However, patients can continue to see Dr Heindel, but in many cases could have a higher out-of-pocket expense. We, at Heindel ENT know that this ongoing negotiation is very difficult for our patients, and we will do whatever we can to help you manage the impact of this disruption in your healthcare. *These negotiations do not have any effect on Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans. * BCBS Federal is considered in-network until May 31, 2018. *The following large employer plans continue to be treated as in-network until further notice: BCBS State Health Benefit Plan BCBS Home Depot BCBS Southern Company For up to date information you can visit: www.KeepPiedmont.org Thank you for your continued support and patience. Dr Lyle Drake is now at Heindel ENT Monday through Friday! He is available to do hearing testing, swim plugs or molds, hearing aid evaluations and hearing aid repairs. Same day appointments are available.
