What are you doing with the Family to celebrate this independence day?

As a mother my brain seems to never stop. I'm always thinking about something. Did that email go out, what should I post about, what's the next big thing for my business, did I put the cloths in the wash, what theme party should I do for my son's first birthday? Ugg, when my day starts or ends like this I just want to take all that out and put it somewhere till I am ready to look at it all! That is just what I do! I gather it all and dump it on a sheet of paper. It helps me concentrate, prioritize, and visualize my ideas. As a mother splitting up my time between business needs and family needs can be tiresome. Feeling guilty for not spending time with my family and the other things a mother needs to tend to. Often I look at my calendar with the thought of opening up more time for my family. Most times I see 10 minute gaps here and there, and I take them. But, is it enough for my kids to feel my presence in their lives? Yes is what I say! I may spend a good percentage of my time busy with work..., but I grab ahold to that feeling of mom guilt. Why? Think if we didn't feel guilt 1 out of 2 things have happened. I have achieved perfection (which I am far from ever being!) Or I have stopped caring for those I love most (unthinkable!)

Growing a dream business can be tough work. You put in the hours and sometimes you CAN get good feedback. Other times not so much. In those moments we can feel defeated, over worked and unsure of one's self worth.

Finding balance between motherhood and business owner can be a task all on it's own. What if we looked a little harder when planning our daily, or what ever it maybe Calendar. Do you think you could give your self a needed 30 to an hour break everyday? I find that when I spilt my work schedule into 30 minute work and 10 minute break rotations, I feel more peace in my mind & soul. #mompreneur #virtualassistant #thestruggleisreal
