In the coming weeks, many of us will begin to receive festive Christmas cards from loved ones. In 1911, the close friends and possibly business associates of Fuller E. Callaway Sr. might have received their own copy of this very unique Christmas card. Instead of the typical holiday images we see today, this card features a poem by Edmund Vance Cooke, reflecting many of Fuller Sr.’s own values about perseverance and hard work, and a quote by Henry Van Dyke. Don't forget to join us today for Children's Christmas Celebration at Hills and Dales Estate! Our festive staff will be handing out complimentary Gingerbread House Kits to help spread Christmas cheer while remaining socially distant. Kits will be available for curbside pick-up in front of the Visitor Center today, December 12, at 10am while supplies last. Each kit includes one pre-assembled gingerbread house, icing and candy for decoration, and an information sheet. One per child and child must be present to receive a kit.
