Stately Oaks Historic Site

It is with sad hearts that we bid farewell to our friend, Art Carey, affectionately known as The Yankee Colonel. Mr. Art was a beloved member and Docent Volunteer at Stately Oaks for many years. His extensive knowledge of military history, including many of his own personal experiences, fascinated both friends and visitors from all over the world. He will be greatly missed by us all.

Outlander Twilight Picnic. Saturday Nov. 21, 2020 Stately Oaks Historic Home 100 Carriage Lane, Jonesboro... 5pm 9pm Rain date Saturday Nov, 28 Come enjoy a Twilight Picnic at Stately Oaks. Bring your own picnic on the lawn and enjoy the beauty and history of the 18th century. Costumed volunteers will be roaming the event and we will have story telling and a blaze in the outdoor fireplace. There will be music and opportunities for photo ops will be many from the log kitchen to American Indian village and other antique structures. Costumes encouraged feel free to wear your Scottish, 18th century clothing. Want a chance to show off your bagpipe/musical talents or costume creations? Please call for slot availability. Any period appropriate vendors and musicians are welcome to promote your business. Tickets $10 advanced and $12 at the gate You can pre buy your ticket by calling Stately Oaks at 404-473-0197. Stately Oaks is a non-profit organization relying on guest contributions in order to stay open. The 1839 House can be toured at 6,7,8pm for a separate contribution of $12.
