Decorating our house beautiful for Christmas is such a fun time each year. Visitors often inquire about our dried orange slices, so we thought we would share a little #behindthescenes info for y’all. Start by slicing some small to medium-sized oranges into thin slices. Spread them out evenly on a wire rack for baking. Bake in a 170 oven for ~5 hours. Turn the oven off and allow the oranges to sit in the cooling oven overnight. You can string the slice...s on garland, use in centerpieces, or place on a wreath. Let your imagination run free and craft something great! We would love to see your creations. This is not a drill Historic Meadow Garden will be re-opening August 11th, 2020 by appointment only. There are a few guidelines: Guests must pre-pay to secure their reservation. An invoice will be sent via Square. Tour size is limited to 6 guests who must have a known relationship to each other. Face masks must be worn while on the premises.... Guests must sign a liability waiver prior to the start of the tour. Guests must reschedule if they feel sick or have a temperature over 100 degrees. Guests must not touch any surfaces in the museum other than staircase railings. Surfaces will be sanitized between guests. Hand sanitizer will be available.
