Kimaya was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Stage lll Immature Teratoma. Upon hearing her story, Darius from Eleven11 Extensions in Atlanta wanted to brighten her day. He did just that! During a recent visit to HOPE For Kids Clinic, Navicent Health, Kimaya was surprised with a box from Eleven11 Extensions that included a new wig that's more flexible and can be styled easily!

Born 15 months apart, Alijah and Kolvin were both diagnosed with sickle cell disease. Their mother, Jasmine speaks about their journey and the family’s decision to move closer to Macon to receive care at Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health!

In February, her calf being extremely swollen prompted Emma’s family to seek medical attention for her. The result was a diagnosis of metastatic Ewing’s Sarcoma. Treatment began quickly and our care team from HOPE For Kids, Navicent Health Physician Group has been with Emma and her family each step of the way. Our child life specialists at HOPE For Kids Clinic, Navicent Health help shepherd patients and families through the difficulties of the diagnosis of pediatric cancer and other diseases. Amanda connects patients and their families with community resources, teaches the patients about their diagnoses, helps them cope with getting their ports accessed, listens to parents, patients, and siblings, and plays games to help them feel comfortable in the clinic or the hospital. It's not about me and how I feel. It's about the patients and their families, but I do feel honored to walk with them on their cancer journey!
