A young male dog (not neutered) found on Foxfire Circle area in Elberton, GA. Is anyone missing? He was sitting in the same spot all day (not around a house) a...ccording to people in the area. Volunteers Welcome! I wanted to take a minute to invite volunteers to come help at the shelter. Volunteer opportunities will include: taking pictures and video...s of adoptable animals to help advertise them, helping with shelter repairs like painting, organization, and helping with other general tasks. To volunteer please call 706-988-6227. What to expect: We will do a brief orientation, go over ways to help, go over expectations, and then work together to make our shelter animals the happiest around. We will be posting other ways that you can help the shelter out later this week. This will include donations and how best to support our animals. Any donations of pet supplies or old towels and blankets can be dropped off contactless at the shelter door, or call us and officer Knight will be glad to meet you! With Scott Smith’s passing away last week, his dog Floyd is in need of a new home. He is a little over 3 years old (May 2017) and weighs around 90 lbs. Hound dog. He is currently at the Elbert County Animal Shelter. Get in touch if you might be interested in meeting or adopting him.
