Got back home last night from my second @thetightlinemethod class. It was the confidence boost and motivation I didn’t even know I needed. I was able to get so much practice and have my work critiqued by my educator. Before I left, I told everyone I was going back for a refresher. And it definitely was, but at the same time I learned so many new things as well. The last year has been so hectic, and work has been busy, I haven’t gone to any classes. I kind of put education on... the back burner. I forgot how good it makes me feel to perfect my craft and learn new things. It was completely last minute, and I feel like I’ve been going nonstop for the last 2 weeks, but it was WORTH IT. Thank you Shaylie and Lexi for everything! I can’t believe the girl who attended the Orlando class was the same girl in Nashville last year having a meltdown because she couldn’t get that damn braid right... and now that damn braid is one of my favorite things to do. Im so proud of myself. And so grateful. I love my career. I love this industry. And I love my S George family. And I freaking love The Tightline Method!!!! See more

I got to turn this pretty mama into a red head AND give her one row of @thetightlinemethod hair extensions! Literally the best of both worlds! We used 6 pieces of 18 @bohyme hair to give her extra volume and thickness. Adding in extensions also gives her the option to style LESS because of how well they hold curl/style. Hey good news.. I’m going back to work Monday May 4th I have a *long* list of people who’s appointments were canceled due to our shut down as well as the ones who reached out to book while we were closed...I’ll be calling/texting everyone over the next few days. If you don’t hear from me, please send me another message on here or text me. Don’t feel bad for double texting, sometimes I miss messages! Also want to add that there will be a few new guidelines that everyone must... follow... All clients and staff are required to wear a mask. Before appointments, clients must sanitize hands, have temperature checked and answer a few questions to assess their health. The waiting area will not be available, clients must wait in their vehicle. And if you bring someone with you, they must stay in the vehicle. No extra guests are allowed at this time. When my area is sanitized and ready, I will send you a text and let you know to come inside. This is gonna be weird and I already know I’m going to get tired of wearing a mask all day... but I’m so excited to get back into my routine and see you all! As you all know, our country, as well as other parts of the world, are battling a serious issue. I understand that to some of you this is nothing more than something to be annoyed about- you’re ready for it to be over and the media to stop talking about it.. however, this is a serious matter for a lot of people, myself included. I am a self employed booth renter- which means I can only get paid if I am working... if this gets out of hand anymore and the government shuts us do...wn, just know that I will have free time to come after you for not taking this seriously joking.. kinda. But for real, please be kind. Don’t tell someone they are stupid for being scared. Everyone is allowed to have their opinion but you’re NOT allowed to be a jerk. Okay? Okay. With that being said, I have decided to remain behind the chair and follow all health and safety precautions such as disinfecting my station, chair, tools, and implements in between every client and Washing my hands pre-service and after the service. Extra hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes are located around the shop. We have also asked that at this time only guests with appointments come into the salon. Please do not bring extra people or children with you if they do not have an appointment. We are trying to keep the salon as sanitary as possible, and we believe limiting the number of people inside will help. Your health, safety, and hair are of my utmost concern and I ask that if you are not feeling well or have ANY signs of fever, cough, sore throat, etc that you would reschedule your appointment. I will be waiving any cancellation fees at this time. However, if you still feel uneasy about coming in during this craziness PLEASE do not hesitate to reach out. I will be more than happy to reschedule your appointment or doing whatever makes you feel most comfortable. As always, I am happy to be taking care of you at @texturesalonandboutique and want to offer my space as a getaway from everything that is going on. That means, when you sit in my chair, it is YOUR time and we can chat about whatever you’d like. If you want to talk about the virus we can do that. Out of all the colors I can create, red heads will always be my favorite. I am 100% that hairdresser that believes everyone should try red hair at least once. The wonderful thing about red is that it doesn’t always have to be shockingly bright. It can be a subtle undertone that adds vibrancy and dimension to your color. There’s SO many shades that can be created! And chances are you’ll feel HOT and never want to go back! But pleaseee don’t attack me in the comments if you... don’t agree If you’ve tried it before and didn’t like it, chances are it just wasn’t the correct shade for your skin tone and facial features! Freckles, pale skin and light eyes work best with strawberry blonde and copper reds. Darker eyes with cooler skin tones work best with deeper true reds and violet tones. Another trick to finding your color match is to look at the colored flecks in your irises. Typically the gold/yellow flecks in the iris means warmer reds will be more flattering. If you have blue or brown flecks then usually a cooler-toned red/violet is the better option. Your jewelry choices can also be an indication for example, If you are more drawn to gold jewelry then a warmer toned red is best. If you are drawn more to silver jewelry, then cool toned reds are best. (I actually learned the jewelry trick from Christina Kreitel during her client consultation class at @premiere_orlando) So with all of that being said, I TRULY believe there is a shade of red for everyone. And if you’ve tried it in the past with no luck, I dare you to give me a chance to prove you wrong. If you’re wondering about this color in particular this beauty was already a shade of red but we freshened her up using @ruskhaircare copper series and @joico blonde life lightener. (Swipe for the before) After processing and shampooing, I applied 8OR in Goldwell Colorance on top of the blonde pieces for that extra pop of color Sorry this turned into a novel.
