Last week at The Collective, Allison Coleman shared about the loss of her father this year...and how the women of In Focus rallied around her to provide a place of comfort and encouragement. Ladies, even in the toughest of years and the saddest of days, we can find rest for our souls in the person of Jesus and the faithfulness of God. We can find a place of belonging among His people. Are you comfortable being uncomfortable? Bethany shared with us last Friday night about how the Lord has pushed her out of her comfort zone in many ways this year. But He has shown his faithfulness in giving her the grace to accept the challenge of staying uncomfortable. We’re still reflecting on Friday night’s testimonies. What a powerful time of testifying of God’s faithfulness in 2020! Candace reminded us of the power of a heartfelt acknowledgment of one’s difficulties, of simply being seen, and of the power an obedient gesture can have to help break others free... I am confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Psalm 27:13 Ladies, lets be women willing to step out in obedience when God calls us to speak, apologize, challenge, etc. trusting that God will use those words and actions to help bring restoration and reconciliation to others. @candace.graves
