Kittens and wine make life fine! We’ve created a stylish and environmentally friendly scratching toy. We wrapped natural sisal rope around a stave from a used wine barrel. Our foster kittens have given it their stamp of approval. #orangekitten #winestaves #woodworking #cattoys

We just hung these cute little cedar shelves in our dining room to display chosen family heirlooms. I love the dichotomy of the rustic cedar to the various crystal pieces. And believe it or not, thanks to technical issues, it’s actually taken longer to post these pictures than it did to hang the shelves.

The fireplace and wall are finally done. I wasn’t completely sold at first on the idea of barn wood above the stacked stone, but Randy was right. It really does compliment the hearth and stone fireplace, and it is so much better than what we started with (last picture of the brick and sickly green wall).
