I want to thank all of our families for your support of our studio during this uncertain time as we work daily to make decisions about classes. Many families have been very understanding and patient in regards to deferring pre-purchased camp vouchers and group class programs to a future date when all are confident to enjoy these offerings. I took my first karate class at this studio at seven years of age in 1975. I purchased this studio over 30 years ago in 1990. Just like yo...u, I would have never predicted a year like 2020. So many people connected to our studio have personally reached out to me in support - thank you! One thing that I would like to do this late summer/early fall for our students is offer a weekly "pop-up" outside group class or two when the weather is more agreeable. If any of our families have a yard and neighborhood parking that would work for this outside class in the Sandy Springs area, please let me know. Hopefully I can find more than one venue so as to not be a burden on any one kind family. I will assume all liability concerns. Thank you, Joey Joey Imperatori

This is what we do when we lose power to our shopping center mid-Zoom online group class with 50 attendees. Pivot, pivot, pivot! Feels like that is all we have been doing lately!! Class was back up and running in 5 minutes flat.

I am aware that Governor Kemp is allowing fitness centers to re-open on Friday, April 24th with strict guidelines. Imperatori Martial Arts will not re-open for group classes until we are confident that it is scientifically safe for our studio to resume such group gatherings. We will continue to offer our Zoom online group classes each Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. We will also continue our FaceTime calls from our instructors to your children each week. Zoom online and in-...studio private lessons will be available. If you schedule an in-studio private lesson please note the following: The studio floors, heavy bag and all door handles will be disinfected during the 15 minute break between each lesson. I have been doing belt tests and promotions for almost 35 years. Today is the first time I am driving the new belts to homes to leave in mailboxes! Crazy times!!

Coach Bill from the Epstein School visited our studio for a karate class. He just put the finished product up online for his students and ours to follow along from home! This was so much fun!! Thank you, Coach Bill.

All group classes and camps at Imperatori Martial Arts are suspended effective Tuesday, 3/17/2020. We hope to resume classes and camps beginning Wednesday, April 1st. Obviously this may change - we will keep you posted. Private lessons are still available during this 2 week period. The private lessons will be taught at a safe distance, with all contact being done on the heavy bags that will be disinfected before and after each lesson. These private lessons can be for individu...al students alone, or with their immediate family members. We hope that this will be an option for our families who want to get out of the house and exercise in a clean, safe environment.
