Happy Fourth! It was great to be at Indian Hills and meet all the early weekend arrivals. Plans ranged from horseback riding, zip lining, mountain biking, hiking, running, visiting wineries and checking out Dahlonega’s Fourth of July activities! Stay safe and enjoy your weekend, everyone! ... Sandy and Mike Delang

We appreciate all the inquiries about reserving at Indian Hills! Here is a link to 6 of the suites. When we get the next 3 units online, I will share updated links. The introductory price shows up in the calendar through June. Wow, it's about 50% off, more or less depending on the day or suite! We look forward to your stay at Indian Hills! https://www.airbnb.com/s/Dahlonega--GA/homes

Indian Hills' construction and final touches are now complete! It's been 14 months of blood, sweat, tears and a lot of love going into it. I'm so proud of Mike DeLang for all his efforts from beginning to end! I joined him in October '19 when he patiently taught me how to do framing, electric, plumbing and carpentry. I then moved on to tile, paint, masonry, and finally landscaping. All that time he managed, worked and problem solved (lots of that when restoring an old, twist...ed, falling down building). At first, I gave him the analogy that it was like running a hundred miler. I was his pacer. When I came up it was like he was at the halfway mark and just had to make it to the next aid station; then it was going from aid station to aid station, going through many, many highs and lows, but still moving forward. By the time we hit mile 90, the miles were slow and it was more like, ‘just make it to the next tree’. The last 10 miles were going inch by inch, taking 2 more months. During this point, I threw the whole ‘Hundred Miler’ analogy out. It was more like running across the entire North America. The end of each day, he and I were beat, mentally or physically, often both. Each morning there was no choice but to get up and go at it again. What kept driving us was the finished product. We are so excited to share this for so many to enjoy. With 9 suites and a common gathering area and decks, we envision weddings, family reunions, and our outdoor friends joining together to enjoy Indian Hills and all that Dahlonega has to offer. Haha, great time to get into the hospitality industry. For now, we have private suites available for guests who want to get away to enjoy the great foothills of the North Georgia Mountains. All are listed on Airbnb. I added two photo albums that I invite you to scroll through. The before and progress photos in 'Restoration' album and the 'Indian Hills, Complete!' (thank you to Samantha Taylor!). Bear with me, the albums will be updated in the next few days to be more user friendly with a better order and description of some photos. Stay tuned for our grand opening cookout. Hopefully in the next couple/few months! See more

Let the fun begin! This front corner of Indian Hills has been an eyesore with a fallen down rock chimney, overgrown weeds, a slab of concrete and a well (under the white cover). Today we’re landscaping the area with a butterfly garden and path to building. It looks good on paper, now we’ll see! Also doing foundation landscaping.
