This Jazz Bass had a broken nut. It's trickier than a usual nut replacement as the neck has binding. I had to notch the bone to go over the binding.

All original 1959 Jazzmaster. The neck is dated January 59. The pots date to the 50th week of 1958. The pickups sound great. Hot and bright. The rhythm circuit was not grounded and made an awful noise. I don't see how that was never fixed over the last 58 years. Great guitar.
