We are excited to partner with Atlanta Leadership Club for the second annual Christmas Store at Intown Lutheran! This event allows parents from under-served communities to come to "shop" for Christmas gifts for their kids. We will serve hot cocoa and cookies, and help them pick out and wrap Christmas gifts. Donations can be brought to church on Sundays from 9-12 or you can reach out to Pastor Lucas via email to set up another drop-off time. #IntownLutheran #ChristmasStore2020 #ACityWorthLoving #grantparkchurch #grantparkatl #atlanta

#ThankfulThursday: Did you know our synod produces a monthly magazine that shares stories of faith, devotions, and WELS news from our churches around the world? Our own member, Brad Harris, was featured in this month's edition of Forward In Christ! Thank you Forward in Christ magazine for sharing his story with our brothers and sisters in faith and for your continued support! #IntownLutheran #ThankfulThursday #AGodWorthKnowing #ALifeWorthLiving #grantparkchurch #grantparkatl #atlanta

Join us this Sunday (11/8) as we begin a brand-new sermon series entitled "Generocity." This 3-week series will explore "using God's blessings to bless others" - especially while living in the middle of a major city. #IntownLutheran #SundayPreview #AGodWorthKnowing #ACityWorthLoving #grantparkchurch #granparkatl #atlanta

Dear Christian, Today God is giving you a great opportunity! And no, I’m not talking about your vote. In a country that is simmering with pain, division, fear, and anger, Christians have a once-in-every-four-years opportunity to be noticeably different.... We have an opportunity to live in a way that makes it clear our hopes, dreams, and confidence do not depend upon any earthly candidate, party, or nation. Our hopes, dreams, and confidence depend on Jesus Christ the Son of God, who died on the cross and rose from the dead to save us from sin and win citizenship for us in God’s eternal kingdom of heaven. We have an opportunity to pray for our new leaders (no matter who they are!) and to lead our society in giving them the respect they deserve, as God’s servants put here for our good. We have an opportunity to show love to each one of our fellow citizens (no matter who they voted for!) because each one of our fellow citizens is a precious soul for whom Jesus was willing to die. We have an opportunity to be noticeably different. As Christians, we know that no matter what happens in the 2020 election, Jesus is in control, the future is bright, and heaven is our home. Today and in the days to come, may God help us to live like it!

#TuesdayTakeaway from Sunday's sermon: "God is constantly planting little seeds, through your words and actions, that may not fully burst into bloom until years after you’ve left this earth and gone to be with Jesus in heaven" Listen now at https://intownlutheran.com/2020/11/01/ruth-4/

#ThankfulThursday: Thankful for another opportunity to get our Sunday School kids together this past Sunday and discuss what they learned in October! We had such a fun time talking about Moses and the escape from Egypt, singing "Pharaoh Pharaoh," and praying together. #IntownLutheran #ChristLight #IntownKids #AGodWorthKnowing #ALifeWorthLiving #grantparkchurch #grantparkatl #atlanta
